How ChasingFoil works

Find any of 14,000+ cards by name or number.

1. 1Open Search from the top nav or the home screen.
2. 2Type a card’s name — e.g. “Charizard” — or its collector number like “4/102”.
3. 3Results update as you type. Click a card to open its detail page.
4. 4On the card page you’ll see the current market price, a price-history chart, and graded premiums.

Identify a single card by pointing your phone at it (in the app).

1. 1In the ChasingFoil app, open Scan a card from the home screen or menu.
2. 2Lay the card on a flat, well-lit surface and fill the frame, holding the phone steady and parallel.
3. 3Tap the shutter to capture. Use the torch icon if the lighting is low.
4. 4We read the card and show the match — add it to a binder, or scan another.

Capture an entire 3×3 binder page in one shot (in the app).

1. 1In the camera, tap “Scan a page” to switch to page mode.
2. 2Frame the whole 9-pocket page so every card is visible and in focus.
3. 3Tap the shutter. We identify each pocket, left-to-right and top-to-bottom.
4. 4Review the list, untick any misreads, and add them all to a binder at once.

Organize your collection and track what it’s worth.

1. 1Open Binders and create one, then give it a name.
2. 2Add cards by searching (or scanning, in the app) and choosing this binder.
3. 3Set how many you own and — optionally — what you paid (your cost basis).
4. 4Each binder shows its total value and your profit/loss as prices move.

See what everything you own is worth, updated daily.

1. 1Your account shows your total value across all binders.
2. 2Prices refresh every day from live market data (TCGplayer medians).
3. 3Open any binder for per-card value, and click a card for its full price history.
4. 4Add a cost basis when you log cards to see your profit/loss.

Get notified when a card hits your target.

1. 1Open a card’s detail page (via Search or a binder).
2. 2Choose Set alert and pick a target — above or below a price.
3. 3We watch the market and notify you the moment it triggers.
4. 4Manage everything under Alerts. Price alerts are a Pro feature.

2. 2Each card gets a rating, a 30-day target price, and a confidence band.
3. 3Expand a card for its target range and rationale, then open the full card page.
4. 4Filter by signal. Predictions is a Pro feature — and a beta model, not investment advice.

2. 2Cards are ranked by graded upside — the premium multiple (PSA 10 sold ÷ raw market).
3. 3Switch tabs: Top outlook, Biggest premium, or Rising now.
4. 4Click any card for its full graded breakdown. Data is from eBay sold medians; Pro feature.

Send someone a private link to view one binder.

1. 1Open the binder you want to share.
2. 2Turn on sharing to generate a private link.
3. 3Send it — anyone with the link can view that binder (and only that one).
4. 4Turn sharing off any time to revoke the link. No one ever sees your other binders.
