How this report is calculated
Prices are daily raw TCGplayer market prices. The liquid universe is every card priced at $2 or more at the start of the month and still priced at the end; the headline figure is the median percent change of those cards, so a few spiking cards can't move it. Movers need at least $10 at both ends and a move between 5% and 400% (gain) or 5% and 90% (drop), with each printed card counted once. Set figures use the median card in sets with at least 15 liquid cards. A month reads as a “broad-based” rise or decline only when the median card moved 2% or more and at least 55% of cards moved the same way. See the methodology.
