Mew #R leads the set at $6,000.27. The 160 priced singles add up to about $10,760.69 for one of every card at today's TCGplayer market price. Secret rares (#129 and up) carry almost all of that value; the numbered set is inexpensive to complete.
Futuristic Rare: a brand-new rarity
30th Celebration introduces Futuristic Rare, a rarity the game has never had before. The first two are Mewtwo ex #157 and Mew ex #158, both illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.
A new rarity has no prior sales history, so there is no baseline for how it holds value after launch, and the presale market showed it:
- Mewtwo ex #157: presale high $1,000.00, today $54.92
- Mew ex #158: presale high $3,333.00, today $85.39
Compare against rarities with a track record, such as PSA graded premiums on Special Illustration Rares, once Futuristic Rares have a few weeks of sales behind them.

What is in the set
128 numbered cards
The main set runs #001 to #128 and includes the 30 Pikachu illustrations and the Double Rare ex cards.
30 secret rares
Illustration Rares, Special Illustration Rares and the two Futuristic Rares, numbered #129 to #158.
30 Classic Collection reprints
A separate subset of reprints with their original numbering, priced on its own set page.
Three Mew holo promos (R, G and B) are also listed with the set, and every booster pack includes a foil Basic Energy. Every card in the set is foil, so there are no Reverse Holofoil parallels to track: one printing per card.
Why week-one prices are noisy
Pokémon sets normally reach regions on a stagger, which spreads early supply and softens the opening price swing. 30th Celebration was the first to launch everywhere at once, so supply and demand both arrived on the same day. The presale-to-release moves on the Futuristic Rares above are the concrete example: treat the first weeks of prices as a range, not a settled value, and set a price alert for the card you want rather than buying into the launch spike.
What comes next
After the anniversary set, the numbered line resumes with Mega Evolution: Delta Reign, scheduled for November 6, 2026. Browse every Pokémon set or watch the biggest movers across the catalog.
Frequently asked questions
When did Pokémon 30th Celebration come out?

How many cards are in Pokémon 30th Celebration?
ChasingFoil tracks 161 30th Celebration singles: 128 numbered cards, 30 secret rares numbered past 128, and 3 Mew holo promos (R, G and B). The separate Classic Collection adds 30 reprints. Every card in the set is holofoil, including the eight foil Basic Energy cards, which are not tracked as priced singles.
What is the most valuable 30th Celebration card?
Mew #R is the most valuable 30th Celebration card at about $6,000.27 for a raw copy (TCGplayer market price, updated daily on ChasingFoil). Mew #G ($3,738.75) and Mew ex #152 ($131.70) are next.
What is a Futuristic Rare?
Futuristic Rare is a new rarity introduced in 30th Celebration. The first two are Mewtwo ex #157 ($54.92) and Mew ex #158 ($85.39), both illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN. Because the rarity is new it has no prior sales history, so its prices move on demand alone.
What are the 30 Pikachu cards in 30th Celebration?
Cards #023 through #052 are 30 different Pikachu illustrations, each by a different artist (30 illustrators in total), at the Pikachu Rare rarity. The Classic Collection is a 30-card subset of reprints drawn from across the game's history, from Base Set Charizard to Sun & Moon-era GX cards, each keeping its original card number. ChasingFoil prices every reprint as its own card, separate from the original printing, on the Classic Collection set page.
What comes after 30th Celebration?
